The Lodge
As proud as we are to provide world-class steelhead fishing, we are equally proud to offer our guests a luxurious and unforgettable Alaska fishing lodge experience. The lodge and its guest cabins are situated on the best run of the river, offering convenient and private boat access for drift boats, ensuring guests can reach prime fishing waters with ease. The views of the river are absolutely breathtaking, morning, day, and night. There’s nothing better than closing an incredible day of Steelhead fishing by pondering the days events while a spectacular steelhead river flows by on your doorstep—all while trading stories and pictures over drinks and hors d’oeuvres before dinner in the main lodge.
Our Main Lodge is designed to provide both comfort and entertainment, featuring a Lounge, Bar, Dining Room for 14 guests, a state-of-the-art Workout Room, and a Game Room complete with a pool table, poker table, and jukebox. Each room in the Main Lodge is adorned with mounts of fish and wild game from all over Alaska, creating a true sense of place, along with the warmth of multiple fireplaces throughout.
Each guest cabin is thoughtfully appointed with its own fireplace, two king beds, a fully stocked bar refreshed daily, his-and-hers bathrooms, and a deck with outdoor seating to soak in the incredible views. All cabins are equipped with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. For your convenience, Laundry Service is available for $25 per load, so you can pack light and enjoy your favorite gear throughout your stay. Additionally, we offer the services of an on-site masseuse to ensure your ultimate relaxation.
No trip to Alaska is complete without unforgettable wildlife encounters, and at The lodge, you won’t be disappointed. It’s not uncommon to spot moose wandering near the lodge and cabins, bald eagles soaring along the river or otters frolicking along the bank. For the more adventurous guests willing to stay up late, the famous Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, occasionally paints the sky in dazzling displays during this time of year.
The Meals
Meals are very important to us at The Alaska Steelhead Company. Chef Felix Barron begins each day well before sunrise by preparing good, strong coffee and a hearty breakfast. Anglers enjoy a custom shore lunch consisting of soup and sandwich, as well as plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you going. On the colder days, guides prepare coffee, hot cider and hot chocolate on the boats as well. Feel free to bring a flask as well…you’ve got to love a hot cider with a little splash of whiskey to warm you up!
Expect the dinners to be some of the best meals you have ever eaten. Guests are blown away every evening after enjoying their 3 course meal. We source fresh and local ingredients, consisting of sushi, scallops, shrimp, halibut, salmon, king crab, clams, oysters, caribou, and beef, just to name “a few”. We spare no expense on the finest Alaskan fare there is to offer. Chef Felix is always more than happy to accommodate any and all dietary needs or even just a request for a specific craving.
